Cold radiators, radiators that only heat at the bottom, or heating systems that take forever to warm up are usually down to sludge, air locks, or faulty valves. Power flushing clears sludge. Bleeding clears air. New thermostatic valves give you better control.

We'll diagnose the problem, quote you for the work, and fix it. Radiator replacements, valve replacements, power flushing, pump replacements, we do the lot. Most jobs are done in a few hours.

There's no call-out fee when you book with us. We'll quote you before we start, and our 12-month guarantee is included with our membership plan.

Got questions? Here's the quick answers.

How much does radiator repair cost in Hull?
Bleeding a radiator costs £30 to £50. Thermostatic valve replacement costs £80 to £150. Radiator replacement costs £150 to £300. Power flushing the whole system costs £350 to £600. We'll quote you based on what's needed.
How long does radiator repair take in Hull?
Valve replacement takes 30-45 minutes per radiator. Replacing a single radiator takes 1-2 hours including draining and refilling. Power flushing a full system takes 4-6 hours depending on size. We can usually do same-day service across Hull and East Yorkshire.
Why is my radiator cold at the top?
Air's trapped in it. It needs bleeding. We'll open the bleed valve at the top, let the air out, and the radiator will heat all the way up. Takes a few minutes.
Why is my radiator cold at the bottom?
Sludge has settled at the bottom and is blocking flow. The radiator needs flushing or replacing. If multiple radiators are sludged up, the whole system needs power flushing.
What's power flushing?
A high-pressure flush of the whole central heating system using a machine and cleaning chemicals. It clears out sludge, rust, and debris that's built up over the years. Makes the system more efficient and stops radiators getting cold at the bottom.
Do I need power flushing?
If your radiators are cold at the bottom, the water's dark and sludgy, or the system takes ages to heat up, yes. If the system's heating fine, you don't need it yet. We'll advise based on what we see.
Can you replace a single radiator?
Yes. We'll drain the system, remove the old radiator, fit the new one, refill, and bleed the system. Takes a couple of hours. If you're replacing multiple radiators, do them all at once to save time.
What's a thermostatic radiator valve (TRV)?
A valve that controls the radiator temperature automatically. You set the number (1-5), and it opens or closes to maintain that temperature. Better than old manual valves because you don't have to keep adjusting them.
