Frozen pipes are common in Hull when we get a cold snap. Loft pipes freeze first (especially in Victorian terraces around Princes Avenue where loft insulation is good but pipe lagging is poor), then pipes in external walls, garages, and unheated outbuildings. When they thaw, they often burst.
We'll thaw the pipe safely using warm air (never a blowtorch, that just damages the pipe). Once it's flowing, we'll check for splits or cracks. If it's burst, we'll cut out the damaged section and replace it. If it's intact, we'll lag it properly so it doesn't freeze again.
There's no call-out fee when you book with us. We'll quote you before we start cutting anything, and our 12-month guarantee is included with our membership plan.
